Past Master

Tonight I received the Past Master degree in York Rite (August 21, 2006). It was better than I expected. I had relatively low expectations for it, basing my knowledge off of the Public Installation of Officers for Blue Lodge that I have witnessed. It was a little more involved. Kudos to our long departed Brother Thomas Smith Webb who first incorporated this ceremony into York Rite, for improving it to the point where it can rightly be considered a degree of its own.

I recieved the yrk degrees before going into the east. When the tile was put on my head, it felt different.
they are nice degrees, I am king of my chapter and am trying to learn the stuff.

Congrats, Bro. Jeff.

I haven't bothered with any of the YR or SR degrees yet, I wanted to get through the East before looking at anything else. But the PM degree was interesting. In Conn, it's performed by a Lodge of Past Masters, and not by the YR chapter.

Hey Jeff,

From my point of view, religion and mysticism are two sides of the same coin. Both have as hidden goals the recasting and obfuscation of ancient wisdom and the symbology used to model, encode, and encapsulate it.

Does freemasonry teach that Solomon's two pillars symbolize truth and justice or that the seven pillars of Proverbs 9.1 are the same as the seven spirits of god, which are the same as the seven golden candlesticks of Revelation? See my Home Page and Book cover for the Doctrine of Two Spirits.

I don't hold to the view that any body of knowledge is evil or any search for understanding is wrong. I simply don't like to see people deceived and manipulated because they wanted to understand the truth and gain wisdom.

Download my FREE EBook for the answers to many ancient mysteries.

Peace...

Wow, it's really big deal to get the masters degree! I got the bachelors one and I was so sich of study already, I even didn't considered on gaining masters degree. I don't regret it, but I understand how hard it is. Hope you checked the review of UKessays.com before ordering essays there.
